Buttock Augmentation Helps to Enhance the Shape and Volume of the Buttocks
Buttocks augmentation has become a very popular procedure recently
and is generally performed to enhance the appearance of flat or poorly-developed buttocks.
The goal of the surgery is to enhance the shape
and volume of the buttocks by providing a natural curve and a smooth
transition to the waist and hips. Dr. Wilcox and Dr. Dulin are very
adept at performing buttocks augmentation using fat grafting techniques.
The Surgery In order for fat grafting buttocks augmentation to work, the patient must have
enough existing body fat in other parts of the body such as the abdomen, flanks, hips,
back, thighs, or arms. Dr. Wilcox or Dr. Dulin gently removes the necessary amount of
fat from one or more of these areas utilizing a thin cannula and liposuction. The fat
particles are then purified and prepared for reinsertion back into the body.
The injection process is performed through two very small incisions
and the fat distributed in an internal web pattern. Because some absorption is to be
expected, occasionally more fat is injected than necessary so that the final result
is the desired outcome. The usual operative time is approximately one and a half hours.
Relative rest is recommended for several days, and the patient can expect return to
normal activities after two weeks. Relative rest is recommended for several days

includes these risks, but complications specific to this procedure are rare.
The risks include bleeding, infection, and asymmetry.
