Hormone Replacement Therapy in Plano, TX

Men and women may start experiencing hormone deficiencies as they reach their late 30s and beyond. A hormone deficiency can lead to disease, weight gain, a lack of energy, and more undesired health effects. Hormone replacement therapy can restore your hormones to the correct level and help you feel better than ever. Our qualified staff at The Plastic & Cosmetic Surgery Center of Texas offers hormone replacement therapy to residents of Plano, Frisco, Dallas, and the neighboring communities.

What is Hormone Replacement Therapy?

Hormone replacement therapy, or HRT, is a procedure that restores natural testosterone and estradiol hormones to the body. Growing older can cause your hormone levels to decrease, which can create a number of health issues and leave you feeling tired or weak. With HRT, you can correct your hormone levels to help support your active, youthful lifestyle. At The Plastic & Cosmetic Surgery Center of Texas, we use hormone replacement pellets for HRT. This offers many benefits over other forms of HRT and is easily performed in our office.

Benefits of Hormone Replacement Therapy

If you suffer from a hormone deficiency, you may experience weight gain, a lowered sex drive, mood swings or depression, and even a higher risk of heart disease and other health issues. HRT can help reverse these symptoms and offers the following benefits:

  • Improved energy levels
  • Improved mood
  • Decreased risk of disease
  • Consistent release of hormones for reliable effects

Am I a Good Candidate for Hormone Replacement Therapy?

Patients who are experiencing symptoms of a hormone imbalance or deficiency may be ideal candidates for HRT. Both men and women can benefit from HRT, and these patients often enjoy the benefits of treatment for months to come. If you are not a good candidate for HRT, we offer medical weight loss treatments and anti-aging treatments to address any cosmetic or health issues you may have.

How Is Hormone Replacement Therapy Administered?

Before the patient can be cleared for HRT, a consultation must be done at our office. Our board certified plastic surgeons will review your medical history and overall health to determine if you are a good candidate. The procedure is performed by making a small incision in the buttocks or flanks, through which the hormone replacement pellet is inserted. Prior to treatment, we will inject lidocaine into the treatment area to minimize any discomfort. After this brief process, your treatment is complete.

What Can I Expect After My Hormone Replacement Therapy?

After your procedure, you may experience slight soreness at the incision site for up to five days. During this time, you may need to refrain from exercise and other strenuous activity. You may begin to notice results in the following weeks, and it can take up to three months to notice the full effects of HRT. In some cases, patients may experience side effects including unwanted hair growth or facial discoloration. We offer a variety laser treatments to address both of these minor side effects, and have a diverse group of in-house professionals to help you with any concerns that you may have.

What Does Hormone Replacement Therapy Cost in Plano?

The price for HRT will vary from patient to patient and can change further if other methods of treatment are involved. The Plastic & Cosmetic Surgery Center of Texas accepts CareCredit® as a financing option as well as other forms of payment.
