How is Telemedicine Used by Plastic Surgeons?

Dr. Wilcox and Dr. Morrissey are using telemedicine to monitor patients who have procedures before the Governor instituted social distancing, closure of non-essential businesses, and delays for elective procedures. We are also using the technology to offer virtual consults to patients

Can I Schedule an Appointment Online?

You can schedule a virtual consult with Dr. Wilcox and Dr. Morrissey online through our website. The request form asks for the following information:

  • Name
  • Procedure that you are considering
  • DOB and age
  • Height and weight
  • Identification
  • Address
  • Phone numbers
  • Marital status
  • Sex
  • Ethnicity
  • Medical history

After you submit the information to us through our website, we will contact you to set up a time for the appointment . We recommend that you prepare for your virtual consult by making a list of questions, setting up a quiet place in your home for the appointment, and having a computer available that has good internet connectivity, camera, and microphone.

Will Telemedicine Be Available in the Future?

We implemented virtual consult services and telemedicine services for our patients in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and have found both to be very effective and convenient. We will continue offering these services in the future, even after the COVID-19 public health crisis subsides.
